I'm mentioning this because it must be the first really funny comedy on our poor BBC for about 20 years

Nowadays the BBC doing comedy is a lot like your Local Council doing comedy

An adapted novel from Evelyn Waugh it has an excellent supporting cast and swings along with the wit and barbs coming at you non-stop from all directions

So if you're at a loose end on Friday nite…

Watched it last night and agree that it is the first good comedy the Beeb have produced for ages.

It reminded me of Rising Damp from the 1970s
