      Hey,

Just wanted to say this is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area or finding yourself asking the question "what's to do in norfolk?" want to have a ride on a working 10" gauge steam engine, both the towns it runs between have plenty to go and look at as well.

If you actually live round here i hear they are looking for volunteers too.

Last one is operated by the Scottish owner with a sense of humour and a special way with whistles in the short tunnel!

Great collection of full size steam engines at Thursford which is close to the above mentioned attractions.

Also don't forget the Forncett Steam Museum in South Norfolk: http://www.forncettsteammuseum.co.uk/ (The website says a new site is coming soon.)

It's actually owned by the same family as the Wells & Walsingham – they must have steam in the blood!

The annual Model Engineers' Day at Forncett comes up on 2nd October. It got some good reviews on here last year.

(OK, I admit it, I organise Model Engineers' Day. Full details and invitations coming soon. Please note the date.)

                All the best,

                Bill.
