I visited the Anson Engine Museum yesterday. and what an excellent visit it was.

Included amongst the many engines under power I was taken by a half size A.E & H Robinson X type gas engine ( chippy) . I believe the castings used to be produced by the Alyn foundry (who no longer exist)

Anson museum now have the patterns and have plans to produce castings ?

But as a long shot I'm wondering if any one has a set of castings and plans lurcking in their workshop they are willing to sell?

The x-type is not too difficult to build from scratch, half a mind to do one myself. Cylinder would be steel fabrication with an iron liner rather than a casting and iron liner as per the Alyn design, box base is easy enough and you could get away with one of te 8" flywheels from RDG rather than 8.5"

From some recent posts elsewhere by Graham Corey it seems he has decided to pass the remaining patterns he still held to Anson Museum but when they will get round to casting I don't know.
