Good Afternoon, On/Off switches for remote vfd operation, Should they be latching; is it posible that it depends on the model vfd . I am looking at a Invertec Optidrive E3 0.75 kw range. Lynne

The pushbuttons for control would be momentary. Section12.2 of the manual has the info for it.

The start push button is usually a Normally Open momentary, the Stop push button will be Normally Closed. The digital inputs into the inverter and the parameters sort out the latching etc.

The Invertek can also be configured for remote operation by latching switches. One for start/stop, one for forward/reverse. This is also shown in the Inverter Drive Supermarket Quick start Guide. They sell all the bits and pieces to make up these controls.

Thanks for the responses. I will take another look at the quick start guide. Obviously It did not register with me

what it was telling me. Regards, Lynne
