I wonder if anyone could tell me if there is any difference between a KJD17B switch and a CK21 switch. They both look identical, but there are lots of CK21 available but very few of the KJD17B. I ordered the latter from Ebay and was sent a refund because the seller didn't have one. My mill is out of action in the meantime and I could do with getting a new one quickly.

          Considering that this "KJD17B"

          https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KJD17B-250V-16A-Start-Stop-Switch-No-Volt-Release-Switch-With-Emergency-Stop/263083417338?

is a CK21 with a CE sticker over the CK21 mark (see last photo and compare to 4th photo of http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250V-16A-IP54-Start-Stop-Switch-No-Volt-Release-Switch-Emergency-Stop-for-CK21/202627005683? )

I'd say no there is no practical difference.

looking at photos of the switches

the KJD17B has the solenoid connectly to the switched output terminals 14 & 24

the CK21 has only one end of the solenoid connected to the switched output 2

the other end of the solenoid goes to a small 5th terminal you have to connect to switched output 1

this enables you to add one or more normally closed remote E-stop switches

use terminals 3 & 4 as the mains input

if you don't need to add any E-stop switches you can use either switch

              Oops,
seems I found a "fake" KJD17B John is correct.
