Hello all. I've got a QUIXDrive Single to 3 phase convertor/ motor controller, model F-2M-0007. It's happily driving the motor of my Warco WMT300 lathe. I have the manuals for both.

So far so good. I want to enable the "Jog" function which is apparently configured as "Default – Not Active" according to the manual. Making the correct connections makes the Green "Run" led light but no motor activity.

Does anyone have any experience with this Convertor please?

Has anyone got the Auxilliary Keyboard with which to interrogate/configure the thing please?

      Thanks in advance.

If it is this product, the remote "extractable keypad" won't gain you any extra functions. You have to program it using the basic interface provided (which is the same with either interface), just like most other VFDs.

There's no obvious alternative to reading and following the procedure in the manual. Although I'm not an expert on the VFD market, I suspect this is an unusual (rare) product, so unless an expert in their use comes forward, it may simply come down to you to tackle it – somewhere around page 24.

Hi Murray, thanks for the prompt response.

I don't know what "This product" is above because the link doesn't work? It contains a link to Casually Laser-Exposing 0.2 mm PCB features on a 3D printer ?

There is no basic interface provided. I have no way to interrogate or configure the VFD, as it has no external switches or displays.

            Thanks

            Andy.

If you have access to an RS-485 converter, there is configuration software that can be used. It seems to be available from the GEFRAN web site.

Do you have a link to the manual Andy?

Physically it's usually a case of setting a switch to put it in Jog mode and then using the momentary 'start' button to jog.

This has to be accompanied by setting the correct parameters to enable jog mode and set the speed.

Hi David Jupp. Thanks for the link to the website, VERY much appreciated as I was completely unaware of the availability of this software. I don't have an RS232-485 converter, but I'll soon build one!! Being able to "talk" to the device is a good start. (I wish I had the schematic for the Programming Key, I'd make one of those too).

Hi Neil Wyatt. I have digital and printed copies of the manual, thanks. The only physical "switch" is a jumper on the front panel, which isn't for the Jog function. The manual says the default configuration for IN4, connector 11, is for "Jog", but why it would then be disabled by default is beyond me. Page 27 top and middle tables document this. Hopefully once I make the RS232-485 converter I can work out the changes required.

Thanks both of you, invaluable help!
