I have a small CCD camera but I can't find the part number on google.

Can anyone suggest how to wire it up -connections are:

      On one side:

      GND, 5V (fairly obvious)

CONV – I assume control voltage to adjust exposure?

      On the other:

GND shielding XIN – I'm assuming this is video out.

FS – what could this be?

And slightly separate from the last three:

      P1

Any pictures of it Neil? …and does the CCD chip itself have a Part No. ?

Daft question..do you need to trouble the extra signals..
Is the composite out ok without additional control?

P.S. … Some brief description [ > 'small CCD camera' ] might also help.

The only number is E138426, but I think that a board number. the CCD has a mask fitted I don't want to risk peeling so I can't see the chip number.

It's an old CCD and some old CCDs can be used for video astronomy as they work well at low light levels, but that obviously means controlling it..

I guess any voltage between 0 and 5 will not do any harm.

                    Monitor op …
Start with say ten k pot.with 10k in series with wiper.from 1V first.
Seem to remember 1V level used for “gain”…

But start near zero..in the bad old days control voltage on ccd was -ve…
