Hi, this is my next project il be making and il hopefully remember to take plenty of pics of the progress to share.

Its a simple steam turbine that i will be pruducing as a small kit using alloy and brass castings. It is not a scale model of any real turbine but should be a nice simple build that will run a little dynamo.

So far i have done all the CAD design using fusion 360. And have 3d printed most of the patterns. Next i need to spend a few days just painting and sanding the patterns and fix them to the match plates.

The main pattern is fully 3d printed with the matchplate and took around 28 hours to print! Pics to follow as soon as ive uploaded them.

This is a pic of the three alloy components after making them into pattern parts with the extra material for shrinkage and machining.mobile upload 2019-05-01 13-00-41.jpg

The parts are then put together to form a matchplate with the feeder and riser included.mobile upload 2019-05-01 12-59-54.jpg

And the paterns as they are now still lots of sanding and painting to get them smooth. The red parts are added on after as my printer cannot print the whole matchplate in one peice. The part next to it is the pattern to cast the alloy turbine wheel. This will just be glued to a peice of pylwood to use with my casting flasks.
