Yes … you're right ! I went further and made a Land Rover " lightweight " / airportable type bonnet and front panel , 2 hillbilly motors and a split back axle for 2 wheel drive without a diff. Gearstick was an off on off switch switching the relays for reverse..

Can't remember , I have another half built one,and all the running gear from the blue one , unfinished ….and / but my daughters 14 now !! I also started on a petrol C90 powered one . That never got finished either .

My mate at the time bought his kids a c90 one and i was going to build my daughter one similar , I got the rolling chassis done….and an engine or two…+ 3 speed and reverse gearbox…

My chassis, phworrr look at that front suspension transverse leaf ..and leafs on the back too !! His was solid !

His had 4 hydraulic brakes  though , mine are cable and back brakes only ..good for broadside skids !
