          Stunning work, very impressive.

How about putting up a photo of the whole panel in the lit up state (please).

That panel looks absolutely fantastic and the blue edge lighting is stunning.

Where did you get the STL. file from?

Five hours of machining at what feed rate?

It looks amazing … Please let's enjoy seeing the whole thing, in a decent resolution.

P.S. some details of the 'badog' would also be of interest.

Thinking aloud, an archaeopterix fossil design with orange/amber lighting could be nice.

Now you need to make something similar but larger, suspend it from a drone and fly slowly over the churchyard at night

more of the time of the step over then feed rate. used a 0.1mm stepover and the stl was just an image in grayscale that i transformed into a heightmap with BMP2CNC software.

Thanks George, no i don't think it's out of your league, you can do anything you set your mind to, i started from 0, now i can do this, I live in Switz, where i bought the Badog machine, the company gives free courses (safety) and for basic uses, the owner himself gave me awesome tips and showed me how it's done,I won't lie to you,i'm a bit slow learner,so i kept getting the free courses until i got it, they were cool with me.I think you should give it a try.

Nice, the result speaks for itself really. I have done it in a manner of speaking but not as well! I practised on a home made conversion program with making pictures onto small brass and aluminium plates. I taught myself G and M code through the free program mach3 and flashcut CNC. Like you said, change the image to grey scale. .TAP and .NGC files i used to make the code once i altered the jpeg.

So, not much really i'm just a humble onlooker. wink
