Just discovered the ICS has all its publications online.
http://www.icsarchive.org/
Inter alia:
The TC section has lots of machining and electricity-related stuff.
The BB section seems to have a lot on locomotive valve gear.
I can recommend this as a useful browsing opportunity. I have several of the original 1907 books, and the text is sensibly clear, and the illustrations are magnificent.
Cheers, Tim
Thanks very much for putting this up, like Tim, I have several of their books and find them useful, the on-line collection will be even more useful.

This resource looks very useful although I was a bit shocked to see that the Americans apparently spell grammar as grammer!
The ICS wasn't the one with the uber-creepy 'Let me be your Father' adverts was it?
No. That one was rather closer to home:

Thank you very much, thanks to you I can finally read something new. I personally wanted to read something but didn´t have any ideas.
