Folks,

I've ordered a second-hand book online and for the first time, I've been asked for a postcode for an AVS billing check.

It checks your postal code and some other info with the bank: AVS (Wikipedia). News to me, perhaps not to you.

This was a company that delivers globally, so perhaps not used in our part of the world, but the bank check made no comment. Perhaps we will see more of it, another check in addition to the 'three digits on the back of the card' (CVV/CVC).

The topic is 'book' as I coudn't find anything more appropriate.
