Bronze or gunmetal screws/bolts

Reading up on boiler construction it is suggested that small bronze or gunmetal bolts can be used to hold parts together for brazing, but on no account to use brass as such screws would melt away at silver soldering temperatures.

Has anyone any suggestions as to where these can be purchased in small sizes?? Metric, imperial or ba immaterial as a taps to suit are probably easier to find that the screws themselves!

Greetings Nick, I have never found a source for these, so for all the boilers I built, I made them. You will not need many, and often a copper rivet can be threaded.

EKP do'em in 8 & 7 BA bronze as do ba-bolts.

I've always used copper rivets just lightly knocked down enough to hold the parts together so that silver solder can penetrate the joint.
