Hi

I'm wanting to attach a wheel to a steel rod possibly using a taperlock. But I need steel rod with either a flat edge, like a D shape, or a groove that matches with a taperlook using a square key. Does anyone know where I can buy this kind of steel rod? I can only find perfectly circular steel rod.

Brian – according to this link to information from Fenner – who make taper lock bushes – you don't need a key. The bush when fitted closes down to give the equivalent of a shrink fit, so palin round rod/bar will do.
