G'day all.
I heard a news release about a new type of corrosion resistant magnesium alloy that has been 'discovered' at Monash University here in Australia. http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2013/08/27/3831604.htm
Already there is talk about lightweight vehicles etc. once it's developed commercially.
Hmmm, I'me already dreaming about lightweight model engine crankcases that do not corrode.
I realise that my original Mills and Amco engines had magnesium alloy crankcases, but they do tend to corrode.
Quite an interesting discovery.
