      i was told i should drill the castings for my mill dry same for boring out motor holder.

      do i tap holes dry as well?

      am assuming yes.

          Grey Cast Iron can be worked dry for all work so no need for tapping fluid, the graphite in the metal is enough to lubricate things.

            I find that a brush with paraffin helps the taps cut a clean thread.
