        Afternoon all,

        For all the worriers who wouldn't dare to take a cut on their lathe greater than a few thou' read the text in the pic. below.

        Image was extracted from a Drummond publication issued in 1930 entitled "Lathe Work, by some amateurs"

          3/4" down to 1/4" with pedal power only !!!! WOW, bet that bloke had muscles on his spit.

            My Grandfather built two scale tugs and a traction engine on a Brittania treadle lathe, not to sure what his maximum cut was, my brother has the lathe well wrapped in his loft.
