Wonder if anyone can help, I am starting to work on a Mamod size Foden wagon using a couple of parts from Mamod for the wheels and the chassis rails, the rest will be home built – what I really need is a set of side elevation of a C type steam wagon – the rest I can work out as I go just need to get the dimensions right

where can I get a set without having to buy the full set for a 3" wagon

You can zoom in quite well on the GA drawing on Reeves site which will give you more dimensions than Ady1's sketch. Just click the image a couple of times and the sheet comes up a reasonable size then save the image to disc and you can blow it up further from there.

With reference to the Mamod wheels, if you search among the drive belts for Hoovers etc. in Homebase and the like, you can find rectangular section drive belts that are a tight press fit on Mamod wheels; two on each back wheel, and one on the front ones. Sorry I can't remember exactly what machine they were for, long time ago, but I found the ones I have by taking a wheel with me and holding it by the packets. Same bands for all the wheels. It is quite hard getting the rear ones on, but that's no bad thing. Fitting these improves the appearance of the standard Mamod steam wagon a great deal. Good luck with your build.
