Having had a summer of other things to do I have finished my Wier pump, running on air.

Whilst out of the workshop I have had time to think about the Clayton. I have a list of winter tasks to get things moving again. As I think I have mentioned I would still like to find copies of the ME containing the alterations to the drive and the steering. Also I still cant find a supplier of the steering shaft with the two start thread as origionaly sold by Blackgates. Screw cutting is a dark art I havnt tackled yet. Frustratingly you can buy 3/8 Acme taps and dies but not 1/4, that would help a lot. I have whiwortht taps and dyes so that's maybe my only way to go.

The block is bored, pistons made, piston rings fitted. Next the dreaded passages to mill. That will have to be a day or two with no domestic interference.

159, 3814 lists steering alterations, not one I have

Some of the ones Ady1 lists are just alterations for "looks" and to make the wagon look more like the prototype rather than drive better.
