Hi Ashley, I don't know the identity of many traction engines myself, but just to let you know that no photos are showing up on my computer, just red crosses where you have tried to insert them. Don't know if it is the same for everyone.

All probably appeared well [to you] when you posted the pictures; but this forum blocks any that are not pasted-in from one of your own Albums.

You need to create a Photo Album [ jpeg files only ] containing the pictures; then, when editing your post, use the black "camera icon" in the toolbar to insert the pictures.

Hope that explains the process … if you still have difficulty, please ask.

These are the photos of Ashley's engine. To me it looks like a freelance with a hint of Minnie about it. It may just be the photo but I can't see any provision on the back of the boiler for water and pressure gauges. Also no means of getting more water into the boiler!!

Ashley, please don't put a fire into this engine until you have had it looked over by someone who knows about steam and preferably a club boiler inspector. At the very least it will want a hydralic test to twice working pressure and all the missing bits I mentioned above adding. Even then the axles look very spindly and I think it will be very low geared.
