After trying to post a reply to the ‘Identification of a metal’ thread nad nothing appearing, I thought I would post a new thread but nowt showed!
After think I was loosing it, I thought it could be my new IE9 that maybe at fault, did a trawl on the web and an answer to a similar question said t ouse compatablity mode!
Tried it and the posting appeared so heads up if anyone else is going to try IE9!

          Not a dog’s chance in H*ll!
I’ve just stumped up to install Windows 7 to get rid of MS’s Vista Travesty, and thankfully, no IE of any format is included in the operating system files.

I nearly binned Firefox too, because of the ludicrous amount of CPU percentage the ‘plugin container’ was using.
Thankfully I found out how to cripple flash animations, and all those ridiculous animated GIF’s this and other sites use on all their advertising, quite how epileptics fare with all that annoying crap I’ve no idea!
I use Comodo Dragon too, very lean and mean.
As for Google Chrome, still buggy and I woudln’t trust Google as far as I could spit anyway, which ain’t far if I’m honest!

          John.

            Peter.
I’m using Windows 7 along with Internet Explorer 9 (release candidate) and am really quite pleased with the combination.
I’m not a ‘fan boy’ of Microsoft, but I appreciate the free lifetime support and updates of their operating systems, as well as their other totally free stuff, such as Security Essentials, which is a virus/spyware protection application and I’m finding it to be as effective as anything else available, without slowing the system.

I started a thread about what I consider to be the deficiencies of this site with regard to things like attachments of files and pictures etc.

            Martin.
