          Very nice job. Could be really useful. I bet they did not cost the average $8000 that Adaptix charge for theirs.

                Have you ever seen a fractal vice? It consists of nested semi-circular jaws that swivel to automatically apply even pressure to an irregular shaped piece. It will not let me post a screen shot but here is one being restored. I cannot see in the forum FAQs if one is allowed to post youtube videos, so my apologies if not.

                  To post a screen shot you need to "save as" a jpg- normally it will save as a png which this site will not accept.

                    Not detracting from the original post, but I thought this was a particularly clever design.

                    If you do a search for "milling vice with adaptive jaws" there's several interesting designs out there, including this one which used parallel round rods in a set of add-on jaws
