I would use the 3 wire control method this is detailed on pg 42:
2:3-wire control 1; Sin is the enabling terminal on this mode, and the run- ning command is caused by FWD and the direction is controlled by REV. Sin is natural closed.
you’ll need a green push button normally open I.e you push it to make the circuit, and a red normally closed push button I.e. the circuit breaks when you push it. You can ignore the rev switch if you don’t need it. You will need to program the input terminals say 1 and 2 to tell them what to do see pg 40.
FWD is you green switch, SIN n is your red switch .
wire as per the diagram directly below the passage I quoted above. COM provides the signal voltage to the two switches. You will need to put the VFD in remote mode that’s covered in the manual. Once we have that sorted I’ll go though speed control.
