I am currently building a freelance loco in 7 1/4 in, and found some conflicting "statements" in LBSC'S Shop shed and road describing Baker valve gear for locomotives, Page 100, 101 in where it says that the the valve spindle goes on the top hole of the combination lever for outside admission (slide valve) and below for inside admission (piston valve). However in the book from the Pilloid Co it s the opposite. did any builders used Baker valve gear and came across this problem, or am i off course or missed something?
