        It took some careful adjustment of the headstock bearings but it seems to be running very smoothly and the runout on the external part of the spindle is about 2-3 0.0001" The MT2 interior is another story (I'll post separately on that)

                Fizzy, ain’t that the truth!

                I’ve had good measurements off the spindle, but definitely have to look at cleaning up the MT2 spindle since there’s something not right there.

                I’ve been really pleased with the bearings and the ways seem fine after a clean.

                The leadscrew needed a bit of attention since it was slightly bent, but those are small repairs given the starting condition.

                I’ll be back here for advice as I get further into the runout measures now its back together
