"A foggy day in London town" – why can't I get that out of my head?

Looks very nice (from what I can see) but it seems to have a very small throat. It also looks to be hopper loaded which is unusual for a drilling machine.

                What make is it?

What I cannot understand is how little wall thickness there is where the (green painted) cylindrical part of the head slide up and down the column?

Ian, it's a Radial Drill, the head slides forwards and backwards on dovetails.
I don't think that's a Hopper either, more like a guard for the conical drive pulley, the motor is directly on the other side.
The table slides up and down the column, the head is fixed.

And as I said, very nice.

Hopper was tongue in cheek! If the head is fixed, I wonder what the clamp lever does at the top of the visible part of the column. Some idea of size would be nice.

I cant tell if its bench or floor standing. Radial arm drill are usually big beasts but this could be Fobco size but then why go to all the extra cost of radial arm when it could just be solid head and have a decent throat.

Its an Edwards 24" radial arm drill. Its a mt3. Have been looking to find drilling capacity. One listed it as 30mm another as 25.

The clamp lever is to lock the head. It can pivot around the column

The hopper ;p is actually a guard Lol
