I need to make a replacement bush for a glass top patio table, to locate the umbrella. The original plastic one has shattered with UV action over many years. Nylon 6,6 has been recommended. I need a piece of min. dia. 75mm & 50mm long; Metal & Plastic don't go that large and I don't want to buy more than I need. Does anyone have any suggestions for a UK supplier (I'm in the south-east if collection would help)?. Adrian

M-Machine do it in 75mm for £3.60 per inch and will cut to length, page 17

I wouldn't get too hung up on Nylon if you're having difficulty getting some. It's only one possibility. Delrin or UHMW would do as well if you see some. You can often find the latter as sheet offcuts, sometimes quite thick.

We us Ensinger at Manchester, they have branches all over i think.

They will put you a box together of offcuts for £25. Real baragin.
