Can anyone help I finally got around to changing the bits of tatty channel currently supporting the ML7 to the proper Myford raising blocks, 1st problem was no studs with the blocks then I didn’t have any 5/16 x 22 tpi studding.

So having made 18″ of studding and some nuts to suit I can’t find the dimensions for them does anyone know what length the studs should be?

Hi Paul

If no one here can give you an answer I suggest you give Myford a call. Despite some anti Myford sentiment from some on this forum I find their customer service second to none. They take endless and patient care to answer any query helpfully – even some of the footlin’ things I have given them! I certainly wouldn’t swop my Myford .

Hi. Paul. Tap them out to M8 its vertuialy the same pitch, you’ll only take out a smigin of swarf. M8 studding is far easier to source, any builders merchant stocks it for fencing, then simply cut to length, thats the way I did mine, with no problems.

As I recall the standard length was 5″ for a metal base Myford Stand but you could get longer 7.5″ ones as well for use on a thicker bench top.
