About 7 years ago I bought a clean Myford ML7, used it far more than I expected and even did some milling on it.

Next upgrade was replacing my poor quality Ferm drill with a Fobco

Then I increased my milling capacity with a Centec 2A

At times I felt a bigger lathe would save time plus being able to skim brake plates/brake drums, so a Harrison M300 was added to the workshop:

Which got me thinking a slightly larger Mill would be nice too, so am just awaiting delivery of a Tom Senior Light Vertical

I keep browsing grinders and shapers now….where does it stop?

I am as bad with motorcycles, suppose that is more likely to stop me thinking

Aye, was looking at Deckel, Aciera or Thiel mills then went for the Tom Senior as it will not take up as much space.

When we got the Tom Senior at the museum, it was put on 4" high wood and bolted down into the concrete floor. That makes for a nice bed height, about 8" higher than the drill mill which sits next to it. Using the drill mill makes me have to bend slightly to reach the handles on the DM.

Bad as me. When you've filled the workshop (as I have mine) do you have Planning Permission to use the dining-room for the Design and Assembly bay, and the lounge for the sheet-metal forming tools?

laugh Not touched my Mig for over a year and my plasma cutter even longer. Those MIG welders have a dreadful forum – makes you buy tools wink

Thats a nice Harrison, unusual to find one with the saddle handwheel at the right hand end of the the saddle, where your hands are away from hot swarf. I suppose it will be a Bridgeport next.

Nope – well not at the present time. Footprint is too large.🙂

Will keep to sub Bridgeport size, I do watch for tool cutter grinders, cylindrical and surface grinders and shapers
