Mine came with a UK 3-pin on it from a UK supplier.

Mine was the same. I cut the plug off and fitted a UK 13 amp. No problem. Mine had Border Force stickers all over the box it came in, so I assume it came directly from Italy.

Shouldn't be a problem, providing you have a 230/240v motor.

Most probably, when you cut the power lead you'll find there are 3 wires. Although it's 2 pin it should have earth contacts on the the side.

I bought a Nebes bandsaw from Italy, it's similar to the femi and changed the plug to 3pin, it had 3 wires.

Same as Jason, mine came from a uk supplier with a moulded 3 pin plug fitted, just checked and as you would expect the metalwork is earthed.

My Femi came from a UK supplier and is wired with a typical euro Schuko "earthed" plug. It came with a Power Connections UK SCP3 adaptor fitted (by the supplier I guess). Impressed with the adaptor, comes with easy access 13 amp fuse and the Schuko plug is locked in, no danger of it pulling out or working loose.

Main difference between the one Ron has and the adaptor linked to earlier is that Ron's has the earth tab to connect to the side of the euro plug so machine will be earthed.

Axminster sell a 13A grounded Schuko converter similar to the one shown in Jasons post

Quite correct Dave I should have looked closer but it was the first I saw when I looked for an example—- should have paid more attention! I have a couple of items with such adaptors but they are earthed and 13amp fused

John, To be honest I had no idea someone could get an adapter that fits in a 13A socket that was only rated at 2.5A and fused for 3A. Hopefully the pin spacing only matches Euro shaver plugs.
