Super Simplex Boiler Pipes re welded getting better with practice

I decided after welding my Black 5 boiler tubes i would re weld my simplex Boiler pipes.

The more i do the better it seems to get might be hope for me welding my boilers after all.

Certainly think after i get water cooled torch will be better instead of keep stopping for it to cool down.

Keep at it Ron! Still not sure you are getting pooling of parent metal – is this a picky of your latest venture or the last one? See what I mean about torch temp!!

yes this is a new weld and yes it gets very warm .

can be done but have to keep letting it cool down.

found it hard but interesting Fizzy

Hi Ron. On an earlier post you have a pic of tubes welded to firebox from inside firebox. These look like what I would expect to see but look nothing like this one – what was so different?
